Abstract

In this article I propose to read the novels written and published by Alberto Blest Gana in Paris putting in perspective the expansion of the human and geographic represented universe. Furthermore, I am interested in reflecting on the geopolitical imagery elaborated by the novelist around the global dimension, highlighting the new context as a promoter of the transformations evidenced in the corpus. Likewise, the approach seeks to highlight the emergence of a much more complex world conception than the previous one and characterized by the problematization of the hierarchical relations that occurred between Europe and Latin America in this scenario.
