Nature is so closely linked to human beings that without her we could not survive. However, despite these close links, due to the way we have considered her (as an
object, natural resource, good to be appropriated and available), we are going through a sixth extinction caused by humans. Human rights have not been and cannot be a sufficient tool to confront such devastation that we, as specie, has caused. New paradigms, different ideas, and another Law are needed. In certain new institutions of Andean Neoconstitutionalism, in particular nature rights, there is a hope, if we take them seriously.
