Abstract

This work encompasses the question of access to information, in relation to Chilean judge’s affiliations and interests. Three kinds of information needs are presented, which are also arguments to sustain the point that the information in question would be of public interest, and therefore be regulated in a specific way, thus becoming an obligation of active transparency. Furthermore, the current active regulation is explained, and its inconsistencies and problems are laid out. Finally, the work discusses the necessity of regulation in this area, be it legal or through the Supreme Court.
