The author or authors authorize the Revista de Estudios de la Justicia, of the Faculty of Law of the University of Chile, either directly or through third parties expressly authorized by it, to exercise the rights set out below in respect of the submitted article:

Publication, editing, reproduction, adaptation, and distribution, including making the article available to the public online through electronic or digital means, in its original language, in any known territory, whether or not of that language, and in any type of printed (paper) or electronic/digital edition, through its inclusion in the Revista de Estudios de la Justicia.

Authors who publish in this journal do so under the following conditions:

  • Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication under the Creative Commons Attribution–ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0), which maximizes the dissemination of information by allowing third parties to use the published material, provided that proper credit is given to the author or authors and to its original publication in this journal. If the material is remixed, transformed, or built upon, the resulting work must be distributed under the same license.

  • Authors are free to enter into other contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the article published in this journal (such as inclusion in an institutional repository or publication in a book), provided that the original publication of the work in this journal is clearly indicated.

  • In the case of translations, authors declare that they have obtained the express authorization of the holder of the rights in the original work—unless the work is in the public domain—and must include such authorization at the time of submission. Likewise, they authorize the Revista de Estudios de la Justicia to publish, reproduce, and distribute the translated version under the same terms and licenses applicable to original articles. The journal undertakes to maintain full reference to the original work, and the authors shall be responsible for ensuring respect for its moral and economic rights.

  • The opinions and contents of the published documents are the sole responsibility of their authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of the journal. Upon receipt of the articles, editors and reviewers are free to suggest partial modifications to their content, provided that the substance of the authors’ arguments is not affected. Once articles are accepted for publication, the Revista de Estudios de la Justicia is free to reproduce their contents for dissemination purposes, with due attribution to the authors.
